Hello to all and welcome to my page! My name is Samuel Becker and I’m a young man in my 20s who has loved Ancient History my entire life! My interests have been very diverse over the years as I became more well versed in the subject and has become much more prevalent recently. My initial love for Ancient History began with one coin! My grandparents in their prime age traveled the world and visited almost every single country and continent! One of the greatest endeavors my grandfather ever did was dive to the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea and found an Ancient Roman coin! He eventually had it embedded into a ring and was then passed down to my father and soon to me! Ever since I was a kid, I was absolutely obsessed with it and it sparked my love of Ancient History!

Years later, I developed more of an interest for various different kinds of coins and this was my main focus of “collecting” for the majority of my formative years. Towards the end of 2023, I found an app called Whatnot, which is an auction house app with livestreams and thousands of products all in a myriad of categories. That was truly the beginning of everything! I began as most coin collectors do nowadays with bullion coins or rounds made from either pure copper or silver. Towards the “end” of my silver round collecting days, I predominantly searched for silver rounds of every greek god and goddess and would go to every stream i could and ask if they had any. Little did I know it would lead me to the greatest community I’ve ever been a part of and the most amazing world I could have ever discovered.

I had joined into an Ancient Coin selling stream little did i know at first. I asked my usual question and there he held what became my first Ancient Coin! From there, I was more than hooked, I was overly passionate and enthralled! This new world intrigued and amazed me due to the prospect of being able to hold Ancient History in my hand! Soon, I went after everything ancient I could get my hands on! Eventually, I started to divert from just coins and started collecting antiquities and artifacts alike from every ancient civilization I could possibly get something from; Egyptian, Chinese, Greek, Roman, etc. For the longest time, I was obsessed with getting very rare, extremely rare and unique types of coins some of which, there are no references for anywhere making them potentially one of a kind! It took me a long time to finally start focusing on one particular time period to collect, which was a difficult choice considering how much of a rabbit hole each time period can become! My predominant focus has been Roman Imperial when it comes to coinage that is and one day I will have every single Emperor, Empress and Usurper ever depicted on an Ancient Roman Coin, but that is a long term goal and dream. My interests went wild and now my collection is much more diverse than just coins; I have dozens of old books some dating back hundreds of years as well as currency notes, old documents and letters from the 18th and 19th Century! Many antiquities, artifacts and relics from not only ancient times but the Civil War as well! There truly is not one time period that my collection does not partake in. besides the last hundred or so years. I’m truly glad and appreciative that I am now able to not only share this with my friends, but now the rest of the world as well!
